At Quinta da Plansel, each bottle tells a story of passion and
dedication to wine.
The Böhm family has a connection to the industry that dates back to the 11th century,
standing out from the 18th century onwards as one of the main
wine distributors in Germany. Fate brought Jörg Böhm to
Portugal in 1961, when a shipwreck in the harbour of Cascais made him
discover the potential of Alentejo grape varieties.
In 1975, he founded Viveiros Plansel, dedicated to selection and propagation
of indigenous varieties. In the 1990s, the
daughter Dorina Lindemann, oenologist
trained in Geisenheim, arrived in Portugal and started producing wines
quality, using the vines from his father's project.
Today, Quinta da Plansel is synonymous with innovation and tradition, where every
