A Galeria Municipal tem vindo a afirmar-se, quer como um local a intervir pelo artista, quer como um local a visitar pelo público. Ao relacionar-se com outras entidades locais, é também um espaço que dá visibilidade aos artistas residentes, e a projetos desenvolvidos em Montemor-o-Novo. Coabitando nesse edifício com a Biblioteca Municipal e a Área Infanto-juvenil, tem vindo a desempenhar um importante papel nas áreas da educação artística e da divulgação cultural.
Dispõe de três salas que podem ser iluminadas natural ou artificialmente, ocupando, ocasionalmente, o claustro interior do Convento.
